There is a fascinating history to the Cambodia gambling halls that reside just over the border from nearby Thailand, in which gambling den betting is banned. Eight casinos are established in a relatively small space in the city of Poipet in Cambodia. The original casino in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in the late nineties and the Golden Crown soon opened. There are one hundred and fifty slots and 5 table games at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four slot machine games and sixty eight gaming tables at the Holiday Palace. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort contains three hundred one armed bandits and seventy table games and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slots and ninety six table games, including 87 baccarat banque (the most dominant game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Additionally, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slots and sixty six of the common table games, as well as a single table of Casino Stud Poker. One more of the 8 gambling halls in Poipet, again a part of a motel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six slot machine games and 97 casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of an all-inclusive vacation and hotel complex that contains many luxuries aside from the gambling den, which offers ten thousand square feet of 130 one armed bandits and 88 table games.
