Learning From My Wagering Blunders

First to clarify why I write this article. I have been wagering on the net or at a brick and mortar betting houses for many years. I have discovered, the dependency can grab a hold of you and you will not even realize it until you are broke. Particularly if you are on a winning streak. I have gone through countless thousands of dollars in a very short amount of time and still on occasion, I’ll go too far. It seems you are just having a blast until you start to track your defeats and the guilt settles in, and then you continue to tell yourself "I can get it back" repeatedly. It does not works. Then you feel sick in your stomach and the more you attempt the faster you lose.

When you see that you are ahead, remain on the UP! When you start to lose, do not say to yourself, "well just maybe one more" and over and over again, trust me, this logic hardly ever functions. Say you are playing on slots, have a bankroll set to the side prior to starting your play. Don’t exceed that limit, no matter how alluring. If you actually succeed, put that in a separate canister. Don’t use your profits no matter what. As soon as you have gone through your original set limit, call it a day. Leave, regardless if it’s online or at a physical betting house, do not stick around. Always remember, there is going to be another day, another time.

Remember, wagering should be exciting not exhausting, nauseating work! If you are not having fun yourself, you do not belong there. If youcannot afford the loss, don’t even begin.
